What’s New!

We hope the winter months and holiday season are treating you well! We want to thank everyone who remembered to show their disability pride on December 3rd by wearing purple in celebration of International Day of People with Disabilities.
In January, The UCEDD will begin its annual Brown Bag Lecture series, so stay tuned to this e-news and our website for upcoming topics and dates. Past topics, handouts and video resources are available on our website, this year marks the third year of the series! Suggestions for speakers and/ or topics are always welcome and may be submitted through our online survey anytime.  The series runs from January through May.

As we gear up to participate in and enjoy  all the winter festivities, we wanted to ensure children, teens, and adults living with disabilities affecting their ability to communicate and their families have access to resources and information on augmentative/adaptive communication (AAC) in  two new special resource collections Communication Through Technology and AAC & Portable Tech.
